NBI files inciting to sedition rap vs. ‘sharer’ of Bikoy videos

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday filed a complaint for inciting to sedition against a man it arrested for allegedly sharing the “Bikoy” videos on his website.

In a complaint signed by NBI Deputy Director Vicente De Guzman III, the bureau accused Rodel Jayme, the supposed registrant and administrator of “metrobalita.net,” of inciting to sedition in relation to Section 6 of the anti-cybercrime law.

Reporters learned the complaint would be resolved as soon as possible as Jayme reportedly waived his right to a preliminary investigation.

Jayme’s residence was searched by NBI agents on April 30.

He was later arrested after an NBI analysis of the electronic devices seized from him allegedly showed he was the registrant and administrator of the website.

Jayme allegedly shared on his website the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos, in which a hooded man identified as “Bikoy” tagged members of the First Family in the illegal drug trade.

“Based on the retrieved conversations, there is continuity of their efforts to conduct their scurrilous libelous attacks against the government,” the NBI complaint stated.

“The conversations also revealed that these attacks are planned and with backing from certain personalities,” it added. —NB, GMA News
