'Dobol B sa News TV' anchors vow inclusivity, more focused reporting after program expansion

The anchors of Dobol B sa News TV on Thursday vowed more focused reporting and engagement with all sectors among the audience.

Since June 3, the program has extended by an hour, and expanded to air also on weekends.

"Walang binawas. Nagdagdag, dinagdagan ang oras. Dati limang oras lang ngayon anim na," said Joel Reyes Zobel.

"[Sa] content, dadagdagan ng programa. Mas focused ngayon, mas maraming audience interaction," he added.

GMA News Pillar Mike Enriquez said that they are now focusing on all kinds of audience.

"All sectors. Mas focused kami sa lahat ng klase ng audience, sa mga ginang ng tahanan, sa malapit na sa mga senior citizens," he said.

Arnold Clavio paid particular attention on millennials, saying that a lot from this sector are listeners of his shows.

From its previous Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. schedule, Dobol B sa News TV now airs every day from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Ali Sotto said that the expansion was due to audience requests to have the program air longer.

"Yung extended hours ngayon ng Radyo na TV pa, dahil na rin sa mga hiling ng mga nanonood, nakikinig samin. Na sana raw palaganapin pa, habaan pa yung mga oras," she said.

Among the newest additions include Pinoy MD sa Dobol B, headed by Connie Sison, Bantay Balita sa Senado and Bantay Balita sa Kamara hosted by Nimfa Ravelo and Divine Reyes respectively. Kay Susan Tayo! by Susan Enriquez also returned to the screen.

Sotto said that should there be a need to extend further in the future, DZBB has staff that can accommodate the demand.

"Kung sa paghaba ng oras namin, we tapped some of the really, really good reporters and gave them shows, ngayon, kung pag kakailanganin pa, kung gugustuhin niyo na mas mahaba pa, mas marami pa po kaming mga tao sa DZBB na pwedeng bumisita sa inyo," she said.

Enriquez said that as journalists, it is important for them to pay attention to how the times are changing and adjust accordingly to people's needs.

"Kailangan yun kasi nagbabago rin yung pangangailangan ng mga listener at saka viewer. Kaya isa sa mga obligasyon natin bilang mga propesyonal na mamamahayag ay siguraduhin na kung ano ang mga pangangailangan nila in terms ng mga programa, impormasyon, balita, ay dapat nmatutugunan natin," he said.

"Habang nagbabago ang mga pangangailangan nila, nagbabago rin tayo," he added. — LA, GMA News
