Ex-BFP director Baruelo dies at 58 due to cardiac arrest


Former Bureau of Fire Protection Director Bobby Baruelo died on Saturday at the age of 58 due to cardiac arrest, according to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB.

 


 

The eldest child of Baruelo confirmed that the former director died at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center in Quezon City on Saturday morning.

Baruelo's remains will be brought to St. Peter Memorial Chapel on Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.

His remains will also be brought to the headquarters of the BFP before being brought to his hometown of Lucena, Quezon.

The BFP has extended its condolences to Baruelo's family.

Baruelo was BFP's director from 2016 to July 2017, according to the BFP.

Aside from his stint as director, Baruelo also served as Quezon City District fire marshall and regional director of BFP National Capital Region. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KG, GMA News
