Bongbong Marcos says he's slowly recovering from COVID-19

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos on Wednesday said he is slowly recovering from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

"The test was over a week ago but the results just came out. In the meantime, I've been slowly getting better," Marcos said on Twitter as he replied to the Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr.

Locsin told Marcos that he was sorry to hear about the latter's illness and that he is praying for him.

"You're a strong guy; you'll make it," Locsin said.

"Not long now we'll open a fine bottle of wine. Stay safe please!" Marcos replied.

The camp of the former lawmaker made it public on Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19 after receiving confirmation from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine on March 28.

His sister, Senator Imee Marcos, has earlier said that Bongbong arrived from Spain "unwell." —LDF, GMA News
