Alleged pushers venture into online illegal-drug sales

Amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, alleged drug pushers have ventured into online selling, according to Mav Gonzales' report on "24 Oras Weekend."

Drug suspects Paul John Orendain and scorer Ace Cabrera were arrested at their home just beside the Cavite Police Provincial Office in a buy-bust operation.

Individuals will order the drug through social media while the drug peddler will be paid via mobile payment. The illegal drugs would then be dropped off at the agreed-on place.

"Hindi [kilala 'yung suppliers]. Marami rin po 'yung kumukuha," Orendain said.

Authorities retrieved P65,000 worth of marijuana, a digital wing scale, and buy-bust money. The suspects will be charged with the violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
