LRT closes Baclaran station again

Citing the smoke from a two-day-old fire that hit a nearby shopping mall, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) again closed its terminal in Baclaran to passengers Friday afternoon. Radio dzBB reported that the LRT Authority (LRTA) said the closing was also meant to give way to mopping-up operations at its Baclaran terminal. The LRTA said passengers who want to get a ride to Monumento in northern Metro Manila can still take the LRT at the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) station. A two-day-old fire that started before dawn Thursday destroyed a shopping mall in Baclaran, affecting nearby establishments such as the LRT’s Baclaran terminal. LRTA administrator Melquiades Robles announced that LRT operations were back to normal early Friday morning. - GMANews.TV
