Duterte urges Willie Revillame to run for senator during Eleksyon 2022

President Rodrigo Duterte said he wants "Wowowin" host Willie Revillame to run for senator in the 2022 elections.

"Willie, si mayor 'to. Kumusta ka? Matagal na tayong 'di nagkita pero palagi kitang naaalala dahil gusto ko sanang maging senador ka," Duterte said in a video message.

Duterte said Revillame is having second thoughts on running as a senatorial candidate next year.

However, the president said Revillame's slot is "open until the last minute."

"Kung ayaw mo na talaga eh di puwede na tayong mag-usap ulit," Duterte said.

Duterte added he admires Revillame's ability to connect with the public.
