Over 2 million Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine doses arrive

More than two million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the Philippines late Sunday night.

The 2,020,590 Pfizer-BioNTech jabs landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 past 11:50 p.m. via Emirates Flight EK2520.

Earlier in the day, three million additional doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the country.

Over 18 million Filipinos have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 since the national inoculation program started on March 1.

The country has so far recorded 2,366,749 COVID-19 cases with 2,151,765 recoveries and 36,788 fatalities. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
