Another alleged Sayyaf bandit in Drilon kidnapping arrested


MANILA, Philippines - Another alleged member of the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf was captured by authorities during the weekend in the southern province of Sulu. In an interview with radio dzBB, Lt. Colonel Ernesto Torres Jr, Armed Forces information chief, identified the alleged bandit as Marcial Totoh Jabarot, alias Abu Cesar who was arrested by the Sixth Marine Battalion Landing Team Saturday evening. Devaro is said to be a member of the Abu Sayyaf since 2000 under the command of a certain Kumander Tahil Salih, according to Torres. Devaro and three other alleged Abu Sayyaf members who were earlier captured by the authorities were said to be behind the June kidnapping of ABS-CBN television journalist Cecilia Victoria "Ces" Oreña-Drilon and cameramen Jimmy Encarnacion and Angelo Valderama, and Muslim university professor Octavio Dinampo in Sulu's Maimbung town.
