6 suspected illegal drugs dealers killed within 2 days in Quezon

LUCENA CITY —Six suspected drugs syndicate members were killed in the last two days as the provincial police in Quezon stepped up its drive against illegal drugs.

One of the six slain suspects was killed in an encounter in Barangay Progreso in Gumaca town.

Provincial Director PSSupt Eugenio Paguirigan identified the suspect as Christian Glor Calvelo of Brgy. Progreso.

Paguirigan said Calvelo engaged elements of the Gumaca PNP led by PCInsp. Dandy Aguilar in a firefight while on their way to serve  a search warrant of him.

In a separate statement, Aguilar said that his team recovered from the suspect a cal-.38 revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition, five (5) pieces of small transparent heat sealed plastic sachet (rectangular in shape) all containing white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or shabu, a  piece of crumpled aluminum foil, and two pieces of improvised tooter.

?Meanwhile, five bodies of suspected drug dealers were found in separate areas across Quezon in the last two days, the provincial police said.

Two were found in Tayabas City, identified as Cesar Padua Garcia and Marvin Mabuting Cuadra; another two, Victorio Barola Abutal and Constancio Lorica Forbes in Lucban town; and Orlan Orias Untalan in San Antonio town.

Initial police information showed the suspects were known to be big-time drug pushers in their respective municipalities, and that they were on the list of top 10 drug personalities in the province.
