Two men killed after allegedly trying to escape from cops at Bulacan checkpoint


Two motorcycle-riding men were killed after they allegedly tried to escape from a checkpoint in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Sunday, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB.

 

 

Police Superintendent Orlando Castil Jr., chief of San Jose Del Monte Police, said the men riding in tandem did not stop at the Commission on Elections checkpoint set up by the Philippine National Police in Benjamin Village in Barangay Graceville.

The police tried to stop them but the motorcycle just sped up.

The authorities immediately chased the men aboard the motorcycle but the two allegedly fired shots at the police.

This prompted the police to fight back which resulted to the death of the two men who were declared dead on the spot.

Recovered from the suspects were caliber .48 and caliber .38 guns.

The police are still determining the men's identities.
