Magalong denies PNP chief Gamboa held party in Baguio City

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong has denied that Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Archie Gamboa held a party in the city despite the quarantine protocols in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An Unang Balita report quoted Magalong as saying that Gamboa only had dinner with a few guests at the Chief PNP Cottage inside the Navy base.

Magalong said there was no buffet and social distancing was observed during the dinner, which ended before the 10 p.m. curfew in the city.

He also said Gamboa was not given VIP treatment.
