4 suspects killed in 2 Nueva Ecija drug ops —police

Four drug suspects were killed Monday in separate buy-bust operations in Nueva Ecija, police said Tuesday.

According to the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office, police authorities were conducting anti-illegal drug operations in Barangay Dalampang, Cabanatuan City which ended in an armed encounter.

The fatalities were identified as Dominic Yabut and Jesus Pelmoka.

Authorities retrieved several firearms, cartridges, 15 packets of plastic sachets believed to be containing shabu, and P500 marked money among others.

Similarly, an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Caanawan, San Jose City turned into a shootout resulting in the deaths of John Partric Lozano and Christian De Jesus.

Several firearms as well as a heat-sealed transparent sachet that is believed to contain shabu were also retrieved from the suspects. --Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA News
