'Day Off' Trabaho Profiles: Quarry Loader Operator

Every week since its premiere in 2005, the GMA News TV reality program “Day Off” has rewarded one lucky, hard-working Pinoy with an enjoyable and relaxing break from his or her daily routine.  Most viewers probably know “Day Off” for its hosts quirky antics.  But fewer probably realize that over the years, “Day Off” has also revealed many different faces of the talented, hardworking Pinoy labor force. This gallery, entitled “Trabaho Profiles,” is a collection of the unique careers and livelihoods of featured “Day Off” winners. Last June 9, “Day Off” featured Rustico Escoto, who has worked for the past 24 years as a quarry loader operator in Porac, Pampanga.  Few people may know what a quarry loader operator does, but without these folks, many roads and buildings could never be constructed.   Here’s the lowdown on what it takes to be a quarry loader operator:
