PH Embassy urges Filipinos in France to prepare 72-hour emergency kits
The Philippine Embassy in Paris has urged Filipinos in France to prepare for emergencies by keeping essential supplies and important documents ready, following advisories from French authorities recommending that the public maintain a 72-hour emergency kit.
In an advisory, the embassy said the French government's recommendation is part of its routine measures to strengthen national resilience and crisis preparedness.
The embassy noted that the Philippine government also regularly issues advisories as part of its disaster preparedness programs.
It also reminded Filipinos in France to take necessary precautions amid protests that have been taking place regularly in the country.
"We all wish our kababayans in France and the rest of the world to be safe and secure at all times," the Embassy said.
The embassy also advised Filipinos to keep their passports, residence permits, and other important documents accessible, and to maintain cash in Euros in case electronic payment systems become unavailable.
Filipinos were also urged to establish family communication and meeting plans, monitor official government alerts, and keep emergency contact details for the embassy and French authorities readily available.
"We all wish our kababayans in France and the rest of the world to be safe and secure at all times," the embassy said.
The embassy assured Filipinos that it remains ready to assist those in distress.
