The Philippine Embassy in Israel has issued a safety and security advisory cautioning Filipinos to be prepared and immediately seek cover in shelters amid information of a missile barrage from the Hezbollah group.

According to the advisory, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has gathered information that the Hezbollah would attack in the next few hours.

The embassy advised the Filipinos to stay close to mamad or shelter and seek cover once they receive an emergency alert.

In many parts of Israel, civilians often have roughly 90 seconds to reach bomb shelters following air raid sirens.

The embassy also reminded the Filipinos to ensure that their elderly patients or wards remain safe in the shelters.

It said safety advisories, verified updates and other important information are disseminated to the Filipino community through the embassy's WhatsApp channel in the link https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCAO1rL2AU4YLFcPF32.

Filipinos may also call the 24/7 embassy hotline at +972 54 466 1188. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
