Fil-Am reality TV show personality seeks NBI help after mom's death following 4 surgeries

A Filipino-American reality television personality has met with the National Bureau of Investigation in his efforts to find answers surrounding the sudden death of his mother who died a week after undergoing a series of surgeries at a cosmetic and dermatologic clinic in the country.

In Bea Pinlac’s 24 Oras report on Monday, Ronn Tristan Perez met with NBI Director Melvin Matibag to discuss his mother’s death following the said surgical operations.

“He was kind enough to hear my mom’s case. I think I can’t go into every detail. The biggest thing they have given me is the confidence they will look at this fairly,” he said.

Perez maintained he was not accusing the clinic but he said he is seeking answers as to what happened to his mother.

He said it was a “very long process” to find information about his mother and that the clinic hasn’t reached out to him since her passing.

“So I want somebody else to look at it and if they say they did everything, I’m like okay, I can let it go. But at least somebody else looked at it.” he added.

It was six months ago after Perez's 54-year old mother died of pulmonary embolism on March 9. Prior to his mom's death, he said she underwent four plastic surgery procedures at a clinic on March 2, including a Brazilian butt lift and liposuction.

Pulmonary Embolism is a condition in which a blood clot lodges itself in a blood vessel in the lung, depriving the body of oxygen.

“I think she was sad. I think she was desperate. It’s a lot of things but for her, doing all that and looking at the mirror and not being happy with what you see that’s like, that can take a toll on anybody,” he shared.

“She was my best friend. She knew how much I loved her. She knew how grateful I was for her, her sacrifices. I know how proud she was of me”, said Perez. —RF, GMA News
