Caught stealing Dh5,000, Pinay maid confesses to taking Dh100,000

A Filipina housemaid who was allegedly caught stealing Dh5,000 (roughly P55,000) reportedly confessed to having stolen from her employers' house a total of Dh100,000 (around P1.1 million). According to a report of "Emirates 24/7," the 28-year-old Filipina stole cash from Saeed Rahim, 39, an Iranian manager, and his wife. Saeed said he and his wife noticed they had cash missing but did not suspect the maid with whom they had a good relationship.

 

Last month, the couple decided to mark their money. Days later, he discovered that Dh2,000 was missing from his wallet, and Dh3,000 from his wife's purse.  

"She confessed to stealing a total of Dh100,000 during her stay with us,” Saeed told the court.

 

"Emirates 24/7" said the court adjourned the case until December 18 to bring her from detention. - VVP, GMA News
