By ANDREI MEDINA, GMA News
The US Embassy in Manila reopened on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. after floods along the city's Roxas Boulevard forced the closure of the embassy on Wednesday. According to a news release of the official website of the US Embassy, consular services will also resume on Thursday. On Twitter, GMA News Reporter Mark Zambrano said, “US Embassy resumes visa processing sessions today.”
The report said those who had appointments on August 1 will have their appointments rescheduled by the US Embassy.
Visa appointments that were cancelled by the August 1 closure can be arranged by calling these numbers:
(02) 982-5555
(02) 902-8930
On the other hand, Visa appointment times for August 2 will take place three hours later than previously scheduled.
Veteran’s Services will operate on normal business hours.
The US Embassy closed down on August 1 due to heavy flooding in the area caused by typhoon “Gener” (international name: Saola). - VVP, GMA News
