A Filipino salesman faced a United Arab Emirates (UAE) court this week over charges that he was allegedly a male prostitute offering online sexual services. The salesman, 30, was discovered by an Emirati cyber-policeman who found his profile as ready to render bizarre sexual services for male clients, the news site Gulf News reported. The policeman alleged that the Filipino, who used Jon Sedrick as his alias, even listed the type of male clients that he preferred, and listed special bizarre services for Dh400. Gulf News said an undercover policeman posed as a male client and agreed to meet the Filipino and have sex with him for Dh800 in a five-star hotel in Downtown Dubai. During a sting operation, the police team raided the place as the defendant walked into the room. Consensual sodomy Meanwhile, the prosecutors also accused the Filipino and a compatriot waiter of engaging in consensual sodomy but the Filipino salesman denied the charges. However, the Filipino denied that he was a male prostitute and claimed that a friend who was deported to the Philippines, was the one who posted his name and profile on the Internet. The Filipino salesman, however, admitted that he had sex with the waiter. The judge adjourned the case until the waiter is legally notified about the next hearing on February 24. - VVP, GMA News
