86 nurses, 267 careworkers needed in Japan

Filipino nurses and caregivers seeking work abroad may want to consider applying for the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS).

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said JICWELS needs 86 nurses and 267 careworkers, and qualified males and females are encouraged to apply.

In a post on its Facebook page, the POEA said the qualifications include:

For nurses:

- graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- with Board License;
- with at least three years' hospital experience
- preferably 20 to 35 years old
- must be medically and psychologically fit to work

For careworkers:

- graduate from any four-year course and certified as a caregiver by TESDA
- graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (under board) or any allied profession
- preferably 20 to 35 years old
- must be medically and psychologically fit to work

Applicants may register online at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph and personally submit documents, fastened in a legal size cream folder:

- a detailed resume with one 2x2 picture
- college diploma (for careworker applicant, diploma should be authenticated)
- transcript of records
- valid PRC ID (for nurse applicants)
- employment Certificates (for nurse applicants)
- valid TESDA Certificate on Caregiving (for careworker applicants)
- copy of valid passport
- valid NBI Clearance (for travel abroad)

The documents are to be submitted to the Manpower Registry Division, Ground Floor, Window T, POEA Building, EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
