Pinoy nabbed in Canada over alleged sexual assault

A Filipino was arrested in Toronto, Canada for alleged sexual assaults he supposedly committed against the victims he met during prayer gatherings.

According to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Monday, the Toronto Police recovered devices containing lewd videos and photos of young victims from the suspect, William Christopher Claveria.

The operation was launched after similar explicit content were found on Claveria's social media accounts.

The police said the suspect practices the modus of attending prayer gatherings to scout for possible victims.

Claveria is scheduled to face the court on July 18 for the multiple cases that were filed against him.

Meanwhile, a Filipino exchange student was also arrested in Pennsylvania in the US for alleged rape.

He was identified by authorities as Alexis John Dolotina. — Dona Magsino/RSJ, GMA News
