4 OFWs in Kuwait accuse employer of physical, verbal abuse

Four male Filipino workers in Kuwait have accused their employer of abuse, according to a report on Unang Balita on Thursday.

The OFWs said they initially suffered verbal abuse from their employer, a family, until recently when the abuse became physical.

The abuse prompted the four to flee their employer and stay at a friend's house.

The issue has already reached Philippine officials on Kuwait who are now discussing ways to help the four OFWs and possibly repatriate them.

Just this January the Philippines imposed a deployment ban to Kuwait after the death in December of a Filipino worker. The ban was lifted in February. --KBK, GMA News
