DFA: 2 more Pinoys leave conflict-hit Afghanistan; 8 await repatriation
Two more Filipinos were repatriated from Afghanistan, which is under the militant group Taliban, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Monday.
In its latest bulletin, DFA said of the two Filipinos, one is already in Doha, Qatar while the other is already in England.
Eight more distressed Filipinos are also asking for repatriation from the government while 24 are still in the conflict-hit country.
"All 24 remaining (Filipinos) plan to join evacuation efforts but through different channels and timelines," DFA added.

Also, the foreign affairs department denounced the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.
Last week, US military confirmed that 13 American troops were killed in the suicide attack outside of Kabul airport. Eighteen others were also wounded.
"We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and our fervent hope for the swift recovery of those who were injured," it said.
Meanwhile, two more Filipinos were in Afghanistan, according to the Philippine Embassy in Islamabad. This brought the number of Filipinos in Afghanistan prior to evacuation from 209 to 211.
So far, DFA said 187 Filipinos already left Afghanistan amid the worsening situation there.—LDF, GMA News
