Grab, Facebook in Singapore eye employing Pinoys —Ople

JAKARTA — Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan Ople on Sunday said some firms in Singapore are considering hiring more Filipinos.

At a press conference, Ople mentioned that Facebook and Grab's operations in Singapore are eyeing to employ more Filipinos.

“For Singapore naman, the good news is that Facebook Singapore is actually hiring Filipino workers. For the first time, Facebook has requested for accreditation as an employer which speaks a lot about the excellence of our Filipino IT professionals,” Ople said.

“And Grab Singapore, another multinational brand, is also keen on hiring from us,” she added.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will visit Singapore on September 6 after his trip to Indonesia.

Marcos is looking forward to secure investment deals during his visit there. — BM, GMA News
