The DMW has vowed to aid the OFW’s family, including providing livelihood, employment and covering tuition fees of her children.
Alvarado’s remains arrived in the Philippines last January 16, almost a week after her family received the wrong cadaver.
The mix-up of bodies led to her family’s questioning whether authorities really investigated the circumstances surrounding her untimely death.
The Filipina reportedly died of coal smoke inhalation on January 2, along with her Nepalese and Sri Lankan co-workers in their workplace in Kuwait.
The DMW said it will file a negligence case against Alvarado’s employer.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) also instructed the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait to work on the investigation into the possibility of foul play in Alvarado’s demise.
