Korean Embassy offers 18 graduate degree scholarship slots to Filipinos
The Embassy of the Republic of South Korea is opening 18 slots for Filipino applicants in the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship program.
The Global Korea Scholarship is a program that helps international students pursue higher education and academic opportunities in Korean institutions. Starting February 5 until March 1, the Korean Embassy will accept applications for graduate degrees for the embassy track.
The program offered covers one year of the Korean Language Program and 2 years of a Master’s Degree Program, 3 years of a Doctoral Program, or 6 months to a year of Research.
The scholarship will provide for the grantee’s tuition fees, Korean language training fees, a round-trip airfare, and monthly allowances.
Interested applicants will be asked to submit original documents, including a sealed recommendation letter and an official bachelor’s degree graduation certificate, as stated in the application form and three photocopied sets.
Students expecting to graduate by July 31, 2025 may also apply with a certificate of expected graduation in lieu of a graduation certificate.
Documents must be printed in A4 paper, while submitted personal statements and study plans are limited to 1,000 words.
Submissions must be labelled “GKS Application” and the applicant’s name, and may be sent through a courier or dropped off at the Korean Embassy.
Further guidelines may be accessed through the Korean Embassy’s website. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BM, GMA Integrated News
