3,000 job openings abroad offered to Pinays amid Int’l Women’s Month
In celebration of International Women’s Month, more than 3,000 job vacancies in several countries are available to Filipinas, including work on cruise ships, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said.
According to JP Soriano’s Sunday report on “24 Oras Weekend,” these cruise ship jobs include housekeeping, waiter, and galley attendant.
According to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the initial salary for galley attendants is $650, or P40,000.
DMW also said Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Hungary, and Taiwan have job vacancies in the hotel industry. These countries are also looking for nurses and caregivers.
Taiwan and other European countries are also looking for factory workers and skilled workers while Saudi Arabia has job vacancies for beauticians and nail technicians.
Applicants may also apply for managerial-level positions.
The public may check for the approved job orders on the DMW website.
The DMW also warned the public to avoid accepting jobs offered on social media or messaging apps to avoid falling victim to illegal recruiters and human traffickers. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
