US court finds KOJC finance officer guilty of falsifying immigration documents
NEW YORK - Another official of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ has been found guilty of visa fraud for falsifying immigration documents for KOJC members sent to the US by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
KOJC finance officer Amanda Estopare has already served her prison sentence but has now been placed under two years of supervised release by the Bureau of Prisons, following a June 20 order from United States District Court, Central District of California Judge Terry Hatter.
Under the terms of her supervised release, Estopare must comply with seven conditions.
These include allowing herself, her properties, home, residence, vehicle, documents, computer, cellphone, other electronic devices or storage devices, email accounts, social media accounts, cloud storage accounts, or any place under her control to be searched by a US probation officer or law enforcement representative. Refusing to submit to a search may result in the revocation of her probation.
Estopare is also prohibited from entering into marriage with anyone solely for the purpose of evading immigration laws—that is, fraudulent or sham marriages.
She is further prohibited from owning, working for, volunteering for, or participating in any business involving the preparation or submission of immigration petitions, marriage arrangement activities, or any business or volunteer work that solicits funds, without the express permission of her probation officer.
Additionally, Estopare is required to grant her probation officer access to all business records, client lists, and other documents related to the operation of any business she owns, whether fully or partially, in accordance with the probation officer’s directives.
It can be recalled that Maria De Leon (KOJC’s travel agent), lead administrator Guia Cabactulan, and human resources head Marissa Duenas were all previously sentenced by the court.
The four co-accused of Quiboloy in the US — De Leon, Duenas, Cabactulan, and Estopare — agreed to cooperate with the US Attorney’s Office in exchange for lighter sentences and dismissal of the remaining charges.
Estopare is the last high-ranking KOJC official of Quiboloy to be sentenced in the US. —KG, GMA Integrated News
