More than 350,000 OFWs received OWWA e-cards in 2025
More than 350,000 Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) E-Cards have been issued under the Overseas Workers Welfare Association’s (OWWA) Alagang OWWA Programs in 2025.
OWWA e-cards are proof of active membership with OWWA, providing them with easier access to the agency’s programs and services like repatriation, reintegration, training, and social benefits.
The e-card and membership is priced at $25 and valid for 2 years
Meanwhile, OWWA shared that they have conducted several Alagang OWWA Caravans in more than 20 posts worldwide and has since reached 72,000 OFWs.
A caravan is also currently being held in Bahrain, Qatar, with over 300 OFWs seeking memberships with OWWA on Tuesday.
“Mula po nung kami ay dumating ang augmentation team at nag-umpisa ang ating Alagang OWWA Serbisyo Caravan, we have already served 2,763 OFWs… Nakapagbigay po tayo ng 2,541 e-cards over the course of just 4 or 5 days,” Deputy Administrator for Administration and Fund Management Atty. Jasmine Gapatan.
“Manama [in] Bahrain is a small island, but has 29,000 active members. Medyo malaki po yun sa amin,” he added. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
