OWWA provides aid to OFW mother of slain child in Silay City
The Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) will be providing assistance to an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), whose daughter had recently been killed in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
According to a statement on Wednesday, the OWWA facilitated the mother’s return to the Philippines from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, in coordination with her employers following the incident.
The OFW will be given financial assistance and welfare support in line with her OWWA membership.
She will also receive livelihood assistance under OWWA’s reintegration program.
The OFW's three children were the victims of an attack inside their home in Silay, Negros Occidental.
The siblings were found bloodied and were immediately rushed to the hospital, where the eldest daughter succumbed to her injuries.
