Marcos dismayed, mad at MWO staff's disrespectful exchange with OFWs

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. was dismayed and angry over the alleged disrespectful response of an employee of the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Bahrain to overseas Filipino workers amid the tension in the Middle East.

This was according to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro on Tuesday. She told reporters in New York City that the President did not let the incident pass as he immediately instructed Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac to investigate and act on it.

(The President did not let the incident between the employee and the overseas Filipino workers pass.)

(The President was dismayed about this incident. He got mad for the maltreatment our OFWs received from a public servant.)

Castro reminded public servants not to abuse power or authority and they should not neglect the needs of the Filipino citizens.

(Public servants should not abuse their authority. Bragging one's authority or maltreating our citizens is unreasonable.)

Castro underscored that a person without a heart for public service has no place in the Marcos administration.

She said those officials unwilling or unable to serve fellow Filipinos with full commitment should immediately resign from their post.

(If you don't want to serve our kababayans, I urge you to voluntarily resign from your posts.)

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) already ordered the recall of the employee after being highly disrespectful to OFWs as shown in a viral video

Reports said that the viral video has showed the MWO employee appearing to drive away OFWs who were seeking help.

The MWO employee then told the OFWs that the agency has no funds and that they should report the incident to whoever they want.

The OFWs went to the Philippine Embassy in Bahrain after learning that the agency was supposedly distributing financial aid.
