DMW announces 26 Filipinos in 4th batch of repatriates from Israel
A fourth batch of repatriates is set to return from Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to a statement by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Friday, the group of 26 individuals consisted of 22 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), a child, and three tourists.
The group had crossed the Taba Border on Thursday and received assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Cairo to process their immigration requirements.
The DMW-OWWA Rapid Response Team handled their accommodations pending their flight home.
The new group followed after the return of 317 Filipinos from the region on a flight that landed at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City on Thursday.
DMW said that a total of 2,099 OFWs and their dependents have so far returned to the Philippines due to the Middle East conflict. –NB, GMA Integrated News
