The Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has re-issued an advisory for Filipinos to avoid transacting with third parties, who require payment, in order to return to the Philippines.

"The Philippine Embassy reiterates its advice to the public to avoid engaging with or transacting through third parties, agents, or individuals claiming to facilitate repatriation in exchange for a fee," according to the statement posted by the Embassy.

"Repatriation assistance extended by the Philippine Government is provided free of charge, and no payment is required at any stage of the process," it added.

Any person or group involved in such transactions, the Embassy said, will face legal actions.

"The Embassy further underscores that any person, organization, or agency found to be misrepresenting itself as part of official Philippine government repatriation efforts, or soliciting fees from Filipino nationals, will be subject to appropriate legal action in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," according to the statement.
