Two children, among 19 Filipinos repatriated safely — PH Embassy in Israel

At least 19 more Filipinos, including two children, were able to cross the Taba Border Crossing out of Israel on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the Philippine Embassy in Israel announced.

The group was accompanied by the Embassy's Department of Migrant Workers - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (DMW-OWWA).

"Pagkarating sa Taba, Egypt, sinalubong sila ng mga kawani ng Philippine Embassy in Cairo at ng OWWA Rapid Response Team. Mula sa Cairo, sumakay sila ng isang flight na dadaan ng Doha bago lumapag sa Manila sa Abril 1," the Embassy said.

(Upon arrival in Taba, Egypt, they were met by staff from the Philippine Embassy in Cairo and the OWWA Rapid Response Team. From Cairo, they boarded a flight via Doha before landing in Manila on April 1.)

"Sa kabuuan, 167 na Pilipinong caregivers, hotel workers, mga menor de edad, turista, pilgrims, at mga estudyante and natulungan ng Embahadang makalabas ng Israel," the Embassy added.

(In total, 167 Filipino caregivers, hotel workers, minors, tourists, pilgrims, and students were given assistance by the Embassy to leave Israel.)
