3,400 jobs abroad offered on DMW's Labor Day 2026 job fair
Job seekers came in droves on May 1, Friday, hoping to secure employment abroad from the 3,400 vacancies offered during the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Labor Day job fair in Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City.
As of lunch time Friday, the DMW reported that 1,067 applicants had arrived at the venue. Some 2,000 individuals pre-registered for the event, with walk-in applicants expected during the day.
Among the employment hopefuls were repatriates from the Middle East who continue to look for opportunites outside the Philippines.

The DMW said 12 licensed recruitment and manning agencies joined the fair, offering jobs in engineering and construction, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and seafaring.
DMW Undersecretary Dominique Rubia-Tutay said, "One thing that we can assure all our job seekers here is that legitimate ang mga vacancies that are being offered by our licensed agencies."
"Huwag po tayo basta-basta naniniwala doon sa mga online job offers. Just always look at the DMW website," she added.

Rubia-Tutay said the number of vacancies exceeded the number of pre-registered applicants, and encouraged more Filipinos to take advantage of the opportunities while remaining cautious of illegal recruitment and scams.
OFW reintegration
Alongside the job fair, several government agencies also offered support services for workers and their families, including reintegration into the Philippines, training, and livelihood assistance under the National Reintegration Network.
Participating agencies included the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, PhilHealth, and the Department of Foreign Affairs, among others.
