15 Filipinos repatriated from Israel
Fifteen Filipinos were repatriated from Israel on Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
They were assisted by the Department of Migrant Workers-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (DMW-OWWA) team of the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv for their trip back to the Philippines via Ben Gurion International Airport.
It was the second repatriation flight organized by the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv after operations at the Ben Gurion International Airport returned to normal following a ceasefire.
The Filipinos boarded an El Al flight from Tel Aviv to Bangkok, where they were transferred to a connecting flight via Philippine Airlines that landed in Manila on June 5.
Since February 28, a total of 235 Filipino caregivers, hotel workers, minors/dependents, tourists, pilgrims, and students were assisted by the Philippine Embassy in repatriating from Israel, the DFA said. —KG, GMA News
