Taiwan extends visa-free entry for Filipinos until July 2027
Filipinos planning to visit Taiwan in the coming months can continue to enjoy visa-free entry after Taiwanese authorities extended the privilege until July 2027.
Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs said in a statement on Friday that Filipinos, along with citizens of Thailand and Brunei, may enter Taiwan without a visa from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.
Under the program, Filipinos, except holders of diplomatic or official/service passports, may stay in Taiwan visa-free for up to 14 days.
The bureau said the extension was approved after evaluating the effectiveness of the visa exemption program.
The move comes after the Philippines also extended its 14-day visa-free entry for holders of Taiwan passports, reflecting the two sides' continued efforts to promote tourism and people-to-people exchanges. —VBL, GMA News
