Pinoys from nCoV-hit Wuhan, China on the way back to Philippines


Filipinos repatriated from Wuhan, Hubei, China by the Philippine government were seen in a photo boarding a plane for the mercy flight back home this weekend.

 

 

 

The said photo was released by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to media on Sunday.

 

 

Thirty-six Filipinos who were staying in Wuhan, China when the novel coronavirus started affecting people are set to arrive in Clark, Pampanga on Sunday morning.

They were assisted by an eight-member Health Emergency Response Team (HERT) from the DFA and Department of Health.

On Saturday night, the HERT posed for a photo before their flight to China.

 

 

The DFA said it sent Rowell Casaclang, Abdul Rahman Pacasum, and Richard delos Santos from the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs to join five members from the DOH's medical team.

 

 

 

The Filipinos and the HERT are on a Royal Air flight arranged by the DFA with clearance from Chinese authorities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wuhan is said to be the epicenter of the deadly novel coronavirus which has claimed more than 700 lives as of Saturday. One person, a Chinese national, died in the Philippines after contracting nCoV. —KG, GMA News
