Pinoy in Hong Kong recovers from COVID-19

One more Filipino has recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Hong Kong, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong announced Saturday.

In a Facebook post, the Consulate General said only 16 Filipinos -- eight females and eight males -- in the area remained COVID-9 positive.

"Good news muli! The Hong Kong Health Department officially informed the Philippine Consulate General that another Kababayan has recovered from COVID-19 and [was] discharged from the hospital today," the post read.

The patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

The consulate general also appealed to the FIlipino Community in the country to remain indoors and to follow social distancing measures when going out.

"Avoid crowded places when going out and follow recent regulation on social distancing that bans the gathering of more than 4 people in public places," the post read.

The consulate general also asked employers to respect the rest day of employees who chose to stay at home amid the threat of the COVID-19. — DVM, GMA News
