In 2018, data from the Department of Health showed that 14,000 children 18 years old and below were rushed to hospitals due to injuries sustained from road crashes. Experts discuss the reasons why children face higher risks of being hit by cars when crossing the streets and how to avoid such accidents. Meanwhile, 80 percent of Filipino children have experienced at least one form of abuse in their lifetime. Physical violence is the most common type of abuse based on the study. Authorities share the steps of reporting incidents of violence against children and cases of child abuse.
