Case Unclosed kasama si Arnold Clavio

Episode on March 12, 2009 Thursday night after Saksi Security was tight on the day she was executed. Eight policemen, including two armed with machine guns, stood at the gates of the prison with two guard dogs. Police cars and motorcycles patrolled the streets apparently to dissuade any of the 75,000 Filipinos in the country from protesting. Flor Contemplacion, a 42-year old maid was hanged to death for murder. She was accused of killing Delia Maga, another OFW, and her four-year old Singaporean ward. It was a bitter ending for Flor as she was hanged at 6:00 in the morning of March 17, 1995 together with three male drug traffickers. Although Flor confessed to the murders, it was alleged that she did so under duress. Until now, that allegation is a mystery. For his first assignment on Case Unclosed, multi-awarded broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio investigates once again the case of Flor Contemplacion. Join him as he travels to Singapore to get a glimpse of the world Flor lived in before she died. Visit Changi Prison where Flor was incarcerated for almost four years before she was hanged. Walk along Veerasamy Road and Gangsa Road where Flor and her friend Delia once talked about their hopes and dreams. Find out what happened to Flor's husband who is now in prison, and their four children three of whom are also in jail. Visit Delia's husband who, since her wife's death, has become a drunk. Listen to an interview of Lucena Sacerno who was once an inmate of Changi Prison who said she saw Flor being drugged before court hearings and an interview of Maximo Reyes, former chief of the medico-legal division of the National Bureau of Investigation who did the autopsy on Flor's remains in the Philippines. Watch a dramatization of the last days of Flor Contemplacion directed by Jon Red, Best Jury Prize awardee at the Mondiale dela Video in Brussels, Belgium. Don't miss the explosive pilot episode of Case Unclosed kasama si Arnold Clavio this Thursday, March 12, 2009, after Saksi.
