The 2012 I-Witness Docufest goes regional

In celebration of its 13th year, GMA Network’s flagship documentary program 'I-Witness' returns to the big screen! For the first time ever, the I-Witness Docufest will be held in key cities in Visayas and Mindanao. This special event kicks off in Cebu City on July 8, 2012 in SM City Cinema 7. Award-winning documentaries by multi-awarded journalists Howie Severino, Kara David, Jay Taruc and Sandra Aguinaldo will be screened.    The first set of screenings will start at 12 noon and will feature some of the show's best episodes  --- Kara David’s 'Gintong Putik', Sandra Aguinaldo’s 'Batch 2012', Jay Taruc’s 'Batang Kalabaw', and Howie Severino’s 'Saplot'. The 4:00 PM screening will feature award-winning documentaries ---  Kara David’s 'Ambulansyang de Paa', Sandra Aguinaldo’s 'Iskul ko No.1', Howie Severino’s 'Huling Hala Bira!' and Jay Taruc’s 'Lapnos'. To share their experiences and documentary-making techniques with the audience, an open forum and DVD signing with all four hosts will be held after every screening. Watch out for the I-Witness Docufest regional tour in Iloilo, Davao, Naga, Iligan, Dagupan, and Bacolod. Admission is free.
