#OutandProud support for GMA’s groundbreaking LGBT documentary

“Out and Proud” will replay on June 29, Sunday, 9:30 p.m. on GMA News TV.

In the spirit of Pride Month, GMA News and Public Affairs aired “Out and Proud,” a documentary special that tackled issues surrounding the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in the Philippines.

The docu special also paid homage to GMA-7’s now-defunct magazine program “Out!” that aired in 2004. “Out!” was a groundbreaking program that tackled the lives and issues of the LGBT community, and was then famous for having its hosts come out on national television.

On Twitter, #OutandProud went trending as viewers expressed support for the LGBT community and called for empowerment and equality.
