Here comes the Year of the Fire Monkey!

2015 is almost over and what a year it has been! And as welcome 2016, it’s already part of our New Year tradition to prepare charms, fruits or anything that are considered lucky according to the feng shui rituals.

To help us determine what we should do to have an auspicious year ahead, feng shui expert, Master Hanz Cua gives us a list of what we should do to welcome positive vibes into our office and even at home.

Feng shui your office to welcome prosperity and money

People who are born in the Year of the Fire Monkey are said to be skillful. They also have strong financial motivations for enjoying fierce competition this year. So, if you are starting a new business, make sure you choose the right partner or at least know what you should put or not to put inside your office or store.

According to Master Hanz Cua, before this year ends, don’t ever forget to declutter your workspace. He also reminds everyone to remove all the unnecessary things on your table because leaving your old files or papers signifies an unfinished business.

Money bars are good for people who are saving money for the entire year.

Aside from decluttering your office, Master Hanz Cua, also recommends charms like a monkey king, an inviting cat, and monkey bar to enhance good fortune in the office. And as we welcome the year of the monkey, it is also lucky to turn the lights on as you listen to loud and lively music. 

When it comes to good luck charms, monkey kings are believed to attract prosperity in our house and office!

Delicious and lucky food for New Year’s Eve

Before we say goodbye to 2015, there are also some dishes and fruits that are believed to attract prosperity. And these food must be present on your table on New Year’s eve! 
 
What are these? According to Master Hanz Cua, we should prepare 12 different kinds of fruits because they signify 12 months of good fortune to every family member. 
 
First on the list is the pineapple or ong-lai in Chinese, ong  means lucky and lai means to come. Apples, mangoes, chico, watermelon, and oranges are also considered lucky because they symbolize the colors of money; pomelos are good for longevity; lemons or calamansi helps in removing the negative vibes at home; grapes symbolize luxury; and papaya symbolizes good health.

When it comes to dishes, Master Hanz Cua also advises every household to prepare fish because it brings luck and improve our money savings. Since 2016 is a year of optimism, cheerfulness and family gatherings, it is also lucky to have anything sweet on our table like tikoy that signifies the sweetness of the family members. 
 
Say bye-bye to negativity this 2015 
 
This year, some of us have been through sad breakups or different family issues but what’s important is to leave all the negativity behind as we welcome a new beginning. 2016 is the perfect time for reconciliation especially to people who have personal relationship issues. 
 
Listed below are ways on how to remove bad vibes at home. 
 
1. Light 9 pieces of incense sticks every 9 in the morning.

So, how does it helps in eliminating negative vibes at home? Master Hanz Cua explains, “Bakit nga ba 9 in the morning mo siya gagawin? Being the highest number in numerology, 9 din ‘yung oras na malakas ‘yung positive energy kapag gabi ay hindi puwede kasi iba ‘yung lakas ng negative energy. Sisindihan mo siya then clockwise ang ikot, pauusukan mo lahat ng floor ng bahay mo. Habang ginagawa mo ‘yun, dapat iniisip mo na inaalis mo na lahat ng malas,” Master Hanz Cua says.

2. Flush the toilet after doing the ritual

After the ritual, it is also important to flush the toilet because it symbolizes flushing away all the negative vibes that this year has brought to your home.

“Dapat pagkatapos mong mag-insenso, huwag mong kalilimutan na i-flush ang toilet kasi ang ibig sabihin nito, inaalis mo na lahat ng sakit, lahat ng negatibo sa buhay at bahay mo,” Master Hanz Cua shares.

3. Throw away all the old stuff in our house

Master Hanz Cua encourages everyone to throw away all the old stuff in our house to make room for new blessings in the coming year. He also recommends wearing red to attract luck and fortune.

If money has been elusive to you this 2015, don’t worry because this is now the perfect time to roll those kiat-kiats and throw coins inside your house to bring in prosperity. He also adds that we could lay money bills on our beds  to attract even more luck.

To prevent our house from misfortunes, it is also important to turn the lights on and play loud music to attract good chi, an energy that permeates everything around us.
