The headless baby

Episode on May 17, 2008 Saturday, 9:30 p.m. Amy and Abe were excited to have a baby. That's why when they found out that Amy was pregnant, the couple took all necessary precautions to ensure the baby's safety. Amy even stopped going to work. According to an ultrasound, Amy was carrying a baby girl and they named her Ayesa Bea Mae. Last March, Amy delivered her baby in Baguio General Hospital but the husband and wife received the grim news: baby Ayesa was dead. What was even more terrifying, Amy saw her baby's head on the floor of the delivery room! Amy was rushed to the operating room to extract the baby's remaining body out of her womb. The cause of death indicated in baby Ayesa's death certificate was osteogenesis imperfecta, a type of bone disease. However, it was not mentioned that the baby's head was separated from her body. Amy and Abe filed a complaint that prompted the NBI and Imbestigador to probe further. After an autopsy, the NBI found out that baby Ayesa's skull was fractured, blood clot formed in her brain and her head was just sewn to her body. The NBI will use the results of the autopsy to file a case against the doctors and medical interns who handled Amy's delivery. However, the hospital sticks to its version of the story. Para sa mag-asawang Amy at Abe, pinakaaasam-asam nila ang magkaroon ng anak. Kaya nang mabuntis si Amy, todong pag-iingat ang kanilang ginawa. Tumigil na rin sa pagpasok sa trabaho si Amy. Sa ultrasound, babae ang magiging panganay nila na papangalan nilang Ayesa Bea Mae. Noong Marso, nanganak si Amy sa Baguio General Hospital. Pero sa halip na magandang balita, masamang balita ang natanggap ng umaasang ama at ina – patay ang sanggol na si baby Ayesa. Ang mas nakakapangilabot, nakita ni Amy na naputol ang ulo ng sanggol na kanyang iniluwal at nasa sahig ng delivery room! Agad na isinalang sa operating room si Amy para kunin ang naiwang katawan ng sanggol. Sa death certificate ni baby Ayesa, osteogenesis imperfecta raw ang ikinamatay niya. Isa itong sakit sa buto. hindi akasaad sa certificate na nahiwalay ang ulo nito sa katawan. Dahil na rin sa reklamo ng mag-asawang Amy at Abe, inimbestigahan ng NBI at Imbestigador ang nangyari. Sa resulta ng otopsiya ng NBI, nakitang basag ang bungo at nanuo ang dugo sa ulo at utak ng sanggol. Nakita ring itinahi na lang ang leeg sa katawan. Ang resultang ito ang gagamitin ng NBI para samapahan ng kaso ang mga duktor at medical intern na nagpaanak kay Amy.
