"BUHAY SA MUNDO NG PATAY" Dokumentaryo ni Sandra Aguinaldo May 7, 2012 They say home is where your loved ones are - whether living or dead. In a public cemetery in Pasay, generations of caretakers and their families live on top of tombs. This is where a community is born. Everyday, they welcome new neighbors in white, lying in coffins. Where the journey of the dead ends, the life of the living begins. For thirty years, the cemetery has been a home to Rick Medina, a grave digger making a living out of his "new neighbors." He has seen the number of families grow inside the cemetery, living on free rent, water and electricity. Now, he lives in a home that he has been sharing with the tomb of his dead wife. On top of the kitchen sink is the tomb of his dead friend. Like Rick, Auring Cura makes a living out taking care of tombs. A "resident" in the cemetery for more than two decades, her children also became caretakers, and grave diggers, their lives dependent on the dead. Still, there are those who dream of a life outside the cemetery walls. Join Sandra Aguinaldo as she lives among the dead to discover the stories of the living.
