Ang misteryosong Mt. Maculot, aakyatin ni Jay Taruc sa 'I-Witness'

“MACULOT”
Dokumentaryo ni Jay Taruc
May 27, 2013

English version

Mount Maculot has been in the news recently because of a mountaineer who went missing only to be found dead more than a week later. Police ruled it as merely an accident.

But for veteran mountaineer Romeo Lee, it takes more than meets the eye. He believes Mount Maculot is shrouded in mystery.

Jay Taruc and his team, together with Romeo Lee and some members from UP Mountaineers, venture on another quest to explore this mystical mountain.

Armed with their experience in the mountains and their knowledge about Maculot, the Jay Taruc and the mountaineers set foot on the famous trail where a man hanged himself a few years back.

The “Rockies,” as they call it because of the rock formation protruding off Maculot, is a must see summit because of the 360 degree view. But it has its share of strangeness. Two deaths have been recorded here. One was Victor Ayson, the mountaineer who died a couple of months ago, while the other one was Maricris, a friend of Romeo Lee. Tales of haunting by the dead woman permeate the area.
But what the group found out during the climb is more sinister than the stories of hauntings.

Watch I-Witness this Monday, March 27 after Saksi.
