Mariz Umali meets the followers of a rundown church who say they are 'chosen ones'

It has been said that many are called but few are chosen.  For the members of a small church called Holy Divine El Santo Kristo, they believe they are the chosen ones, or “hinirang”, handpicked nonetheless by their master, named Master Anos.  In the eyes of Master Anos’ followers, he is Jesus in the flesh.
 
Their church lies in the outskirts of Fairview, Quezon City, unassuming, rundown, and half finished.  This also serves as Master Anos’ home.  Church members and ‘hinirangs’ congregate here to fulfill their most important duties:  to heal the sick and to preach their Master’s word.  They believe that illness stems from bad spirits and sin.  In every healing session, they ‘exorcise’ each patient, summoning elementals away from the patient’s body.    
 
As they take a pilgrimage to a grotto in Bulacan, Mariz Umali will meet the members of Holy Divine El Santo Kristo and discover the life its members left behind just to follow their master.

Hinirang
 
Ilang beses nang naulit ang bersong ‘marami ang tinatawag ngunit kakaunti lang ang napipili’.  Para sa mga miyembro ng maliit na simbahang tinatawag na Holy Divine El Santo Kristo, paniwala nila, sila ang mga pinili o “hinirang”.  Ang naghirang sa kanila, walang iba kundi ang kanilang master, si Master Anos.  Para sa mga disupulo ni Master Anos, siya si Hesus.
 
Sa isang eskinita sa Fairview, Quezon City matatagpuan ang kanilang simbahan.  Isang napaglumaang bahay puno ng mga imahe ng mga santo.  Ito rin ang nagsisilbing bahay ni Master Anos.  Dito mapapanood ang natatanging kapangyarihang ipinagkaloob sa mga hinirang: ang magpagaling umano sa mga may sakit.  Paniwala nila, kasalanan at masasamang espiritu ang sanhi ng mga karamdaman. 
 
Sa kanilang paglalakbay tungo sa isang grotto sa Bulacan, makikilala ni Mariz Umali ang mga miyembro ng simbahan.  Dito, unti-unting mailalahad ang kuwento ng buhay na iniwan nila para sundan ang yapak ng kanilang master.
