First love, last love: #PagibigSaPandemya

Tessie and Nonoy recently fell in love again, but he’s in Germany and she’s in Cavite. Like many other couples, the pandemic has kept them apart, as they spend hours on the phone talking.

But unlike many sweethearts, they’re single grandparents, having rekindled a love affair that happened and ended in their youth.

What happened to love during the pandemic?

Life and love go on, but in different ways. Our documentary explores a range of experiences, from the bittersweet long-distance romance of seniors to millennials who discover each other via a dating app to the lonely single mom who fell for the wrong person on Facebook.

Naging matamis ang muling pag-iibigan nina Tessie at Nonoy, pero nasa Germany si Nonoy habang si Tessie, nasa Cavite.  Tulad ng maraming magkasintahan, pansamantala silang ipinaghiwalay ng pandemya kaya hanggang LDR o long distance relationship muna sila.

Pero di tulad ng ibang mag-sweetheart, lolo at lola na sina Nonoy at Tessie na first love ang isa’t isa noong sila’y bata pa.

Marami nga bang umusbong na pag-iibigan ngayong pandemya?

Sa kabila ng mga lockdown, patuloy ang buhay sa iba-ibang paraan.  Tutuklasin ng dokumentaryo ang LDR ng mga senior, ang tila whirlwind romance ng dalawang millennial mula sa isang dating app, at ang isang ina na sumugal sa pag-ibig sa Facebook.
